Since you have given no given names it is hard to tell who we are looking for but there are 11 Weisbrods on the Dominion Land Grant site. Are you interested in the site address?

I am researching the Weisbrod family line in the Regina, Pilot Butte and Edenwold areas. Any information would be valuable.

I am looking for info on Adolf Weisbrod(spelling) who married Marie Major in Quebec in Aug. 1889. Moved to Massachusettes and had 3 children, Melvina, Albina and M. Louise.Any infortmation would be helpful.I was told Weisbrod
turned into Wasbrook after crossing the border. I am primarily interested in who were Adolf's and Marie's ancestors-Thanks

Hi there, I am too! Here's what I have, please email me and let me know if this fits or NOT. Even if not, they may be cousins or something.

Daniel Weisbrod, father of Christina Weisbrod.
Christina Weisbrod b. 30 Nov 1882 (per family Bible) married Martin Ermel b. 20 Apr 1884 (per same family Bible).
Martin Ermel & Christina Weisbrod parents of:
Philip
John
Carl
Conrad
Emma
Katie

My husband's maternal gf was Philip Ermel who passed away just recently. 10/22/01

Emma is still living.

I am sending you an email too if it's listed and I REALLY hope that I find you.

Oh, BTW, the Weisbrod's were from the Lumsden, Pilot Butte area of SK, Canada.

Hi there. Your information filled in a gap for me. Martin Ermel was my paternal grandmother's uncle. His parents were Ludvig Ermel and Barbara Sheier, according to this message I read on rootsweb:

Hi there,

Yes, I know the post. Jo Ermel is my husband's second cousins wife. :-)

I was just hoping for some confirmation. I have a reason to believe that the names may (no sources yet though) be Johann Ludwig Ermel and Marie Barbara Scheuer. It's exhausting trying to track this stuff down when we can't find a lead. I feel that Aunt Emma's Bible has the spellings for the names phonetically. Also, if they (Ludvig and Barb) used their middle names, she of course wouldn't have written the first names.

So..... you and I are related by marriage! Wow! How nice to meet you. My husband is a direct descendant of Martin Ermel. Martin had a son named Philip who is my husband's maternal grandfather.

We have a brand spanking new webpage with our info on it here at rootsweb. Here's the link:

If you can provide any additional help please email me. Even if it's your family. :-) For that matter, just to chat.
