Please would you let me know your wifes family details ie parents/grandparents/greatgrandpartents so I can confirm they are the same Stilborns as mine. I assume they are the same if they are from Pheasant Forks and yes they are a large family. Lucy

Hi Lucy,
My name is Deb Heenan (Stilborn). My great grandfather was John Stilborn, brother to Henry Quarton.I only have names and some of the birth dates of Henry's children. I do have a family tree (on 8 1/2 x 11) of the Stilborns back to 1592, with a few gaps,if you would like a copy. Let me know what info you have or what you would like to have and I'll see if I can fill in some spaces.
My Dad, Jack Stilborn has written a book in the past year recording a lot of stories from the past and I know we have some pictures around as well.
Let me know what would be of interst to you and I can get it to you.
I'm not as familiar of this posting site as my husband is, so if you would like to use e-mail (which I am a little better with ) our address is
heenanagriltd@sasktel.net
Hope this is of some help to you,
Deb Heenan
PS Where do you fit into this massive tree?

Hi again,
In checking through our pictures I found one of Henry Quarton and his family probably taken in the 1890's.
My Dad said it was the only picture he had seen of the family,
Let me know if you're interested in a copy.
Deb Heenan

Henry Quarton Stilborn, b-1845 is my 2nd Great-grandfather.

I am interested in information you have on the Stilborn family. You mentioned your dad Jack Stilborn wrote a book with stories. My Dad and I would be very interested in knowing how we could obtain a copy. I am also very interested in your photo mentioned in your post on Ancestery of the Stilborn family.

I have a book entitled "Raw Prairie to Grain Elevators - The Chronicles of a pioneer community Duff, Saskatchewan" by Len W. Sumner. Duff is just a few miles NE of Pheasant Forks. The book contains information on the families that developed the area, including founding members of the Primitive Methodist Colony of Pheasant Forks.

I have a couple of pictures of Henry Quarton Silborn Sr. and a photo of his wife Mary Gospel, that I've attached. I'm a direct descendant of their youngest daughter Louisa.

I have been to Pheasant Forks, now a historical site consisting of a church and 2 room school. (I have several pictures of the place), I have also taken photographs of most of the tombstones in the Pheasant Forks Cemetery. Which I'm willing to share.

I did a search in http://www.ourroots.ca/e/ and 22 books showed up. There is a story about Henry Quarton's brother, John Stilborn in the Abernathy book. This is a direct link http://www.ourroots.ca/e/page.aspx?id=1050753 If you do a Stilborn search of the book, over 50 page numbers with info will show up. But do a searh in the main site too as you may find info that I missed. Butch

Glad you enjoyed the site. Here is another good one http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp Try searching with Stilborn in the last name box and bring up England for country (and try Canada as well). Henry is in the Can. 1881 census, but shows up in another part of the list as well. It appears that your Stilborns came from Bishop Wilton, Yorkshire, Eng. You may recognize other names as well. Hello
I am related to Mary Gospel and have done a 'Gospel' family tree. The Stilborn family feature heavily and any information you can supply would be very welcome. If I can reciprocate in any way I would be glad to.
