I am researching my Great Aunt Regina Hipfner (aka Rachel) m. Valentine Walter Harty about 1890 in Duluth, Minnesota.
Regina was born 1867 in Baden, Ukraine, Russia; immigrated to USA Oct 19, 1888 on the SS Trave; first citizenship papers filed in Edmunds Co., SD on March 24, 1890. She died February 23, 1924 and is buried in Sedley, SK. Valentine remarried to Julianna Weber Harty (his , Rochus’s widow). Julianna d. 1937 and Valentine d. 1943 in Sedley, SK.
Regina and Valentine met and married in Duluth Minnesota where they first homesteaded. They later settled in Hosmer, SD and then Aberdeen, SD. In 1902, they homsteaded 6 miles NW of Sedley, SK. Valentine & Regina had 8 children. Two boys died in infancy and are buried in SD.
Their other children were:
John b. c1891 Hosmer or Aberdeen, SD? d. 1944 m. c 1916 Elizabeth Eberle (1896-1991). They had 16 children – I don’t have any names.
Marion b. c1892 Hosmer or Aberdeen, SD? d. 1982 SK m. Anton Zimmerman. They settled in Sedley and Fox Valley, SK and 9 children. I have some of the children’s marriages and offspring to 4th generation.
Martin b. c1893 Hosmer or Aberdeen, SD? d. 1971 m. c1905 Catherine Schneibel 1895-1974) They had 11 children – I don’t have any names.
Genevieve b. August 25, 1900 in Duluth, Minnesota m. Ray Duboise ( c1900-1973) I don’t any other information on this couple.
Kasper b. c1902 probably in Sedley, SK d. September 1, 1981. I don’t have any other information.
Theresa b. c1904 in Sedley, SK d. November 19, 1989. I don’t have any other information.

Rachel and Valentine homesteaded:
1890 Duluth, Minnesota
Hosmer, Edmunds County, SD
Aberdeen, Edmunds County, SD
May 13, 1896 Entry #9978, Walworth County, SD (Would this have been the Hosmer or Aberdeen location?)
1902 6 miles NW of Sedley, SK The only Western Canada Land Grant that I have found is for Valentine's brother, Rochus Harty as SE 2 52 (twp) 23 W4

I have tried unsuccessfully to obtain:
Eberle and Hardy Family History 1762 - 1997 authored b Val J. Abello & Yvonne Schalk
Lest we forget, genealogy 1843 to 1984, the Hardy’s by Christine Hardy Ehnes.

Any leads or information on this family line would be greatly appreciated.
