I am looking for information on G. Loverick my husbands g-grandfather on (maternal) side.
He is listed in the Canadian Genealogy Index as living in Wood Mountain District and the source is "They Came to Wood Mountain" page: 247
I don't know whether it is him or not but would love to see what it says.
Thank you :)

There is a George Loverick family in another Saskatchewan book "Pioneers and Progress : The History of Southey and District" pg. 253-254.

Hello Richard,
Thank you for the email, it's been a crazy few years since your information came in and I'm sorry I never returned a reply earlier. I can see by the date that I was busy with my mum who was on the decline and did pass shortly after.
I then went head on into her family tree to connect with the relations that I may never know if I didn't start it.
Anyways, in regards to the George Loverick family you sent me, I have yet to find a connection to my husbands Grandmother's and Great-Aunties' father George Loverick. I've been in contact with her regarding the other George Loverick and she has no memories of this family. She did connect with Larry Loverick from the book and they weren't able to determine if they are related.
Great Auntie had 4 brothers and 2 sisters (1 being Grandma), 7 children in all. I know it can't just be a coincidence that there were two George Loverick's and they lived close to each other at a time but we have very little information and everything is a dead end.
Thanks for checking on the progress, I wish it were good news.... you take care.
~MaryAnne

Hello Marry Anne,
I believe there are previous inquiries to your post, as my inquiry was just last week. In any event, I appreciate your reply. I recently came in possession of They Came To Wood Mountain, so if you are ever in need of information, I can scan and send pages your way.
All the best!
Richard
