I am looking for an obituary for Charles M Watson he was born in Maine 1864 but died a Canadian citizen on 22 Sept. 1965 . He lived in Marshall , Sask. and he is buried in Lashburn Cemetery. He was 101 yrs old. I'm hoping due to his age their is an obituary about him. His wife was Arabella . I am in the US and have not been able to find an accessible newspaper. Hi There may also have been a news story - about Charles M. WATSON - born Maine USA 1864 - Dcd Sept 22 1965

If no one can assist with the Obituary:
Contact the Cemetery Office of Lashburn Cemetery - They may be able to assist with some information - may know if the family had an Obituary published - and if there had been a news story in the local Newspaper
Cemetery office will know the name of the Funeral Home / Undertaker in charge of Arrangements
Funeral Home - may take information for the Registration of Death - they may also be in charge of having the Obituary - and news story published.

With the date of Death:
Public Library - may hold newspapers in their collection - on microfilm - they may offer help

Do a search for Lloydminster Meridian Booster they may have carried his obit. The Funeral home would probably been McCaw's funeral home in Lloydminster. I found them using GOOGLE and both can be contacted on-line. Lots of Watsons in the Lashburn on-line history book, but don't seem related. http://www.ourroots.ca/e/toc.aspx?id=2480 Butch

The public library doesn't seem to be a option due to me being in the US but the office for the Lasburn Cemetery is a good option. Thank you!

I checked the on line history book and you are correct they are not the same family of Watsons . I am still working on your other suggestions. Thank you!
