Your Bremner family has a very interesting history. Bresaylor was named using the first 3 letters of Bremner and Sayers and last 3 of Taylor. I did a search in the history book site using BREMNER CHARLES and 118 books showed up. It appears that during the Riel rebellion Charles was charged with treason and had his furs confiscated along with other settlers including G. Plichette. They petitioned the government and apparently proved to be loyal and one book says Charles was paid 5,000 dollars retribution. This is a link to the book site, just search using BREMNER CHARLES and when you open each book click on the page numbers that show up and pay close attention to books such as "Early Battleford" and "Louis Riel" , you'll enjoy.
