I've come late to this discussion, very late, but my great-great grandmother was Amy Earwaker, the daughter of Theophilus Earwaker b1842 and Elizabeth Hunter. A few years ago I went to see my grandmother's cousin, Violet, whohad been brought up by her grandmother, Amy Earwaker, and who knew a lot of stories about Theophilus and his family. Apparently he described himself as a Professor of Music and she had his English Concertina, and photographic portraits of Theophilus and his wife. He used to give concerts with all his children playing musical instruments, and my cousin tells me that Amy Earwaker later had a career on the stage of the Music Halls. Twins and triplets do seem to run in the family.
