Hi Kim, Welcome aboard!! Just came upon your name & message last night. I have the Pinkham History Book. Gladys Furry has written the Clemence Family story in 1964. Do you have this book? I can photocopy the story for you & send it by mail, if you wish. I'm from the Ward side. Evelyn

Re: Clemence and Steele relatives in Kindersley, Pinkham area
Hi, the Steele that you have in your family tree, would it be Robert John Steele. This is my great uncle, who was born in Ontario his father was also Robert John Steele. He went out west after receiving some land grants in the late 1890 or early 1900s.. He went to the Peace River orginally, the family lost trace of him and not sure if he moved or not. His sister Catherine and brother in law Darcy Rhodes. Catherine came back to Ontario after Darcy died.

The Steele I am looking for is any relative to Joseph Henry Alexander Steele born 1882 died 1952 in Kindersley. He came from the Bracebridge area in Ontario and married a Sarah Rachel MacDonald from there also and came out as homesteaders. Kim

Re: Clemence and Steele relatives in Kindersley, Pinkham area
Hi Kim. Your Joseph Steele, do you have his fathers name or grandfather name. My ggg Grandfather Thomas Steele was bor about 1799, he and his father moved from around the Brandford area to the the Creemore area in about the 1830's. I beleive some of Thomas Steele brothers and sons may have moved to differnent areas of Ontario. The Robert John Steele that I was looking for went out west was Thomas's grandson.
