I found they actually lived in the Demaine area. SE of sec. 36, Tship 22, Range 10, W3 http://www.saskhomesteads.com/search.asp Look for Elmer and Byron in this WW 2 list. http://www.ourroots.ca/e/page.aspx?id=3922623 and read this page from anothr history book. http://www.ourroots.ca/e/page.aspx?id=927318

But this is the best. Do a search in the Google News Archives using BAXTER DEMAINE then read the item readig Couple Celebrates 50 th anniversary, it's them.. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=SCE0ypLQHGcC Butch

I should have told you before to try posting a message on the Saskatoon board and use a heading like BAXTER FAMILY OF DEMAINE BEECHY AREA Saskatoon is much nearer to that area. Lots of luck, Butch

Hello,
I am not subscribed any longer so I cannot message you directly, but if you refer to my family tree you should be able to access some of the information that you are looking for (unfortunately I hadn't added the younger generations before my subscription rant out). Elmer was my grandfather. Both he and my great-uncle Arnold (first name William, but went by Arnold) each still have a son living and farming in the Demaine area. Arnold's son lives on the homestead farm and our family lives a few miles down the road. If you feel comfortable adding your email to this thread I can contact you that way.
