Family of Katherine were Germans from Russia. At one time they travelled with a family Maas, also German. Any information or thread welcome. Thank you

Thank you Nancy. This is the right Anton
Wirachowsky. We knew that he had gone to B.C. by himself. He frequently worked as a carpenter. We also know that at one time there was a homestead file for Saskatchewan for him. He had several brothers but we don't know the names.
He loved horses, had a good eye for them as we still have the descendants of the horses he traded for and bred. His eye holds true, they are fine animals. He loved music and played several instruments well. He probably kept up his music by playing in a band, as he belonged to several. Thank you for your help. Carol

Thank you Stella. While we know that our Anton Wirachowsky went to B.C. by himself, we do not know of any relatives there but that could well have been the reason for the westward move. We had always thought that they choose the prairies or North Dakota. Thanks for your suggestions and help. Carol
