For anyone looking for information on immigrants from the Ukraine/
Austro-Hungaria/or Poland , check the Ellis Island website in New York (
www.ellisislandrecords.org). Many travelled the Trieste - New York route, then transferred ships to come to Canada. The ship's register would be transcribed in New York , noting alien immigrants
continuing to another port.
