Surnames: Anderson, Eliason, Egge
I am looking for any information on an Axel Anderson or Eliason Family. Eliason was his given name and probably when he married Mary or Maren Egge in Minnesota his name changed to Anderson, like all his other siblings. I have info that he died in 1948 in and around Lintlaw. Some of his childrens names were Myrthil, Gladys, Violet, Alvin, Ernest, William, Alice, Grace, and Elmer.
He was born in Tansem Township, Clay County, Minnesota, March 3, 1883. He and Mary Egge were married on November 16, 1914.
If anyone has any information on this family or where a person could get the info please reply!

Hi there.

Axel Anderson was my great grandfather.

My grandmother, Gladys Stewart (nee Anderson) was born in Preeceville in 1917 to Axel and Mary and just passed away last week. I was using Google to look up her parents who were Axel and Mary Anderson of Preeceville, Saskatchewan and came across your posting.
Grace, Alvin, Ernie and Willie have all passed but Myrtle, Violet, Alice and Elmer are all still living.
My grandmother Gladys married Dana Stewart from Liberty, Saskatchewan and moved to Cloverdale, British Columbia in 1945 where they raised a family, my father was their third child.
I know very little of this side of the family before they came to Canada, so if you have any information that would be great.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, This is a link to the Preeceville history book. http://www.ourroots.ca/e/toc.aspx?id=3147 There's a bit of a story on page 21 and 22 that tells of Axel and his brother Albin starting the first store. If you do a search in the book you'll find lots of Andersons, but I have no idea if they are related to your family. Butch
