Surnames: Hussack, Housack
looking for family and/or info on my grandfather and great grandfather. my dad is john hussack born in kamsack in
1912. he passed away in 1958 and is buried in Kamsack with his father. His parents lived almost across the road from the old city hall in a white house. my dad originally married pearl kerluk or (koreluk), unsure of the spelling, and related to swerhune, berezowski. Katieberezowki was a cousin to my dad, her momandmy grandfather were brother-sister. I beleive that one of the swerhune worked at the local grocery store on main street in 50/60. my dad was the postmaster at beaver plains, i think it was near st phillips or else their homestead was near st phillips. I hit so many brick walls trying to find info on my ggfather and gfather travelling to Canada from ukraine or austria. my dad sister was anne and married a john baron, maybe from around wroxton. I have not had a chance to come to kamsack from bc since we have been working on the family tree. my dad later married marie steciuk from endeavour, and moved to sherridon and then flin flon, manitoba. there is another related family member - hussack in kamsack cemetery but it is unknown the relationship. there is a record of my dad as the postmaster on the canada post site and a record of land grant for the Housack name. i am not sure where this property would be located. any info, pics, web sites, links, on this name or their journey over to canada would be greatly appreciated. thank you all in advance.

Surnames: Hochak? Gayowsky?
Hi Ernie, I'm looking for a Vera Hochak who married a John Gayowsky. I'm not sure on the spelling of last names back then. I know they came from the Ukraine, late 1800's- early 1900's, and settled in the Kamsack area. They had 2 daughters and a son. They later moved to the Lethbridge Alberta area. Thanks Donalda

HI Janette
Still looking for info on John and Katherine Filkowski. My father-in-law Steven Filkowski says Filkowski was spelled differently but no one seems to know how. My new email is rsahlin64@gmail.com. I would appreciate anything you have. Any info I have starts at Walter and Anne.

Thanks Ruth
