Sure! "Our Pioneers" was first published by the South Western Saskatchewan Oldtimers' Association in 1974 and has had a total of 5 printing dates so far. Here is the article in this booklet regarding John L. Beattie:

Mr. J. L. Beattie was a sheep rancher at the west end of Crane Lake. Fanny Small was born in Scotland. Came to Canada with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Alex Small in 1884. As a child she lived in Maple Creek area, Cypress Hills and Medicine Hat.

Mr. and Mrs. Beattie were married in 1902 in the stone Presbyterian church at Maple Creek. They lived on their Crane Lake ranch for 25 years. Their hospitality was extended to all who passed that way. They had 2 sons, Thomas and Stewart and a daughter Mrs. D. E. Brown.
