I am new to searching in Canada. I must be extremely spoiled by all the online records for the US. Are records in Canada kept under lock and key? I can only find things if I pay the Genealogy Society a fee for searching. Any hidden databases for Saskatechewan out there I should know about?

Looking for death or burial records for sure but would also love any birth or marriages I can find.
