Hansen - Friday, December 1, 1989, Olive Elizabeth Hansen died at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by her parents; four brothers: Merrille, Harold, Charles and Roland; and two sisters: Ellen and Blanche. Mrs Hansen is survived by her loving husband, Marvin of Rouleau, Sask.; one daughter, Elaine (David) Pederson of Hawarden, Sask.; two sons: Gordon (Fran) of Whitby, Ont., and Alan (Kathy) of Rouleau, Sask.; six grandchildren, one brother, Peter (Mary) Dodds; one sister, Erma (Bill) Meyer of Shaunavon, Sask.; one sister-in-law, Myrtle (John) Dempster of Swift Current; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Olive was born in Aneroid, Sask. After her schooling in Aneroid she was employed with Government Telephones in Aneroid and Shaunavon. In 1939 she was transferred to Rouleau where she met and married Marvin Hansen in 1942 while he was in the Airforce. After his discharge they moved back to Rouleau and took up farming, continuing until their retirement in 1986. Olive was a faithful member of the Rouleau Crescent Rebekah Lodge and of the Ladies Aux. to the Royal Can. Legion. In earlier years she was quite active in church work, teaching Sunday school, and with the Jr. Woman's Aux. She also worked with a group of figure skaters. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 1989 at 3:30pm in Speers Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Charles Wooley officiating. Cremation. Flowers most gratefully declined.
