Am looking for an obituary for John McLachlan b 1859 in Ontario, and died about 1907 in an accident crossing the railway tracks in Battleford. He would have been my great uncle.Do you know of anywhere else that I could search, or of anyone by that name in the area.?
Thanks for your help
Seasons Greetings

Do you have any information on "The Lazy 69", apparently a horse ranch of trotters and single-footers in the Battleford area sometime around 1909-1916? The brand was a 69 lying down (lazy). I don't believe the brand was ever registered; at least I couldn't find it at the archives in Saskatoon a few years ago.

My great grandmother Julia Caroline STOEBER MILLER arrived in N. Battleford from Michigan about 1909 after being widowed between 1900-1909 there. She remarried a Rodoulph E. FULLER somewhere, sometime and they homesteaded in N. Battleford. I have the homestead papers. She and FULLER were born in 1874. She brought her two MILLER children, Lawrence and Laura along to Sask. with her. She left Sask. for BC in 1917 or 18.
