Drusilla Bigford Cutler

Drusilla was born 15 Nov 1820. Her parents are unknown. She was raised by David Kenison and Mary 'Polly' Allard. I am GUESSING she was the daughter of one of Anthony Cutler's sons; perhaps Roswell or Anthony, and perhaps born to Polly Allard out of wedlock. I have no idea how to find out.

Drusilla was married to Frederick H. Kenny 18 Jan 1842 in Stukely. They had 6 children, all born in Shefford County. By 1860 they were living in Iowa where they remained the rest of their lives.

Drusilla died in Marshall County in 1880. The 1880 census lists both her parents as having been born in New Hampshire, but that can't be trusted.

Anyone have any idea how to proceed?

Marion Dorothy Hill Mooney (nee Parker) died in Kelowna about 1996. She was born in Montreal in 1911 and was the daughter of Mary Maria Reynolds and Joseph Robert Parker who appear to have been from the Granby area.
Dorothy and her husband, John Mooney were childless. They left Quebec when the anti-English laws were enacted in Quebec. My mother bought some items from the estate. One of those items was a watercolour painting. This painting was recently appraised for me and the said it was done by an amateur (it is unsigned) and done about 1860. It looks like a Currier and Ives inspired painting. Behind the wood on the back of the painting was a sign referring to a Montreal business and a photograph. The only clue to the photo is the name "Reynolds" penciled on the back.
I started researching Dorothy's family and found her mother's maiden name was Reynolds so I am guessing the photo could be of that family. I would like to return this photo to someone connected to that photo. I also would like to find out who might have painted the picture.
(I would like to keep the photo as my husband's family dates back to the 1600's in Quebec but I will take a photo of it after it is back from being rematted.)

Myron R Blunt was born 4 Dec 1835 in Brome to David Blunt & his wife Rebecca Clark. Myron died In Brookline/Boston, MA Feb 1899. I have a copy of Mary Ann Corey's bapti. record and it is very hard to see who her parents were but I am fairly sure they were Walter and Mary Corey. Mary was born October 1836 and died 21 Jan 1904 in Brookline, MA; both se and Myron ar buried in Knowlton, PQ.

I found one record of a Mary Corey born 1834, baptized 1838, but can't confirm this is indeed the Mary Corey I am looking for...thank you for any hints as to their origins/identities!!

Mary Louisa Bowker-Marston b.24-02-1845 Canadian Census 1901 and died 8-08-1932 United Ch. Waterloo, Québec, at the age of 87 years.
Their children:
1. Carrie Emma b. 1-01-1870 and baptized 17-04-1887 Methodist Ch. Waterloo. She married James Albert McLaughlin 30-09-1896 Methodist Ch. Waterloo.

Stephen Bowker, brother-in-law of George, b. 8-10-1840 Canadian Census 1901 and died 20-06-1901 at the age of 80.

Actually, Stephen lived on the border of the village of Milton East better known as Milton Corners and the village of Roxton Pond. Milton Corners is located in the township of Milton which is west and next to the township of Roxton which includes the village of Roxton Pond. I have included an 1876 directory of Milton Corners.

Stephen Farecole Willard Jr is my great great grandfather. I have found that his grandfather is Orea Horace Willard - born in 1790 and his grandmother is Deborah Kettle (1796-1857). His mother, Jane B. Baird died during or shortly after giving birth to her 10th child in 1865 and Stephen F Willard Sr remarried in 1866 to Marguerite in Northampton, MA. Her daughter Melissa "Jenny" Willard Beaudry was married July 12 1870 in Northampton.

James Hilson b. 1879 London

I am trying to locate any relatives of James Hilson born in London 1875-1879 and was a Home Child arriving in Quebec in 1891. He stayed in Sherbrooke for a short while before moving to Granby (entry on 1901 census). The only other information I can find is he appeared on the 1940 USA census in Buffalo as a lodger. It would seem he worked across the border in the consatruction industry during the week and went home to his family at weekends.Any information would be very much appreciated.

This site shows that there was an influenza & pneumonia epidemic in Massachusetts that was fairly severe in 1891-94, although nothing compared to the levels it hit in 1918-19 (Spanish Flu).

One of Lucie's siblings, Louise was buried 23 June 1837 Notre Dame du Rosaire, St. Hyacinthe.

I haven't found Lucie's twin, Marie-Rose's death or marriage information yet. If I do, do you want me to email you with that information?

Are you able to email me that information of the baptismal of Marie-Emilie? If not, as you able to print out that information and mail to me or scan it and email to me? I will reimburse you if you need to make a copy and mail it.

I do have some information on Joseph Davignon, brother of Lucy. If you give me your email address, I'll email you the Descendents Chart with all the info. I have on him OR if you're missing some information, ask me and I'll let you know what I have.

(1) My wife (& children) descend from Abraham & Lucy's son Joseph.

(2) You may be disappointed to hear I drew no conclusions concerning Marie-Lucie Delage-dit-Letourneau. She appears to be someone on whom to focus; however, both her parents died in 1834 and I found nothing concerning what happened to the children, all daughters.

(3) Concerning Abraham & Lucy's marriage, I came up dry. I don't think they married in Quebec; however, they moved around so much that anything's possible. New York seemed the likely locale - particularly Rensselaer County - but I found nothing in the repertoires apart from daughter Marie-Emelie's baptismal record from the church in Troy.

Just 2 days ago someone contacted me and gave me this same info. on your article and said that it was very good. They are mailing it to me.

Are you related to the Davignon/Deveneau family? If so, I have a great deal of information also and can share with you too. Of course, after I see what you have, I can share with you what you might not have in your article. I'm looking forward to receiving it and hopefully filling in some of the blanks I have.

I have, since that email in August to have found that Abraham's wife's name was Marie-Lucie Delage dite Letourneau. This has been a mystery for such a long time. I have finally found some baptismal and death records of her children that have her as Delage and some as Tourneau, and some as Letourneau and then we find that Delage is also with a dite name Letourneau. So FINALLY we find her maiden name and with that, I was able to locate her baptismal and her parents' names back in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec. Now I'm trying to locate her marriage to Abraham that would have been between 1840-1851. Hopefully you'll have that information in your article.

It won't be completely satisfying - particularly concerning Abraham's spouse Lucy - but it ties together a good chunk of Abraham's family and shows where they fit.

Looking for Captain John Savage's Shefford associate Alexander Douglas. He was born about 1733 and lived to the ripe old age of 104 on August 16, 1837 in Shefford. He might have a son also named Alexander who was a private in Savage's regiment in the 1812 war. Alexander Senior might have arrived at Missisquoi Bay around 1794 and settled in Shefford in 1796.

I have a picture which shows her with a baby where she appears to be about 27 or so. I am interested in finding who she married and where she may have gone after leaving home. I have had some folks from the Message Board suggest that I check out Davignon surname as some documents in the U.S. stated that the last name was that instead of Deveneau.

I was wondering if some of you that are related to the Davignon Family have found that the name changed to Deveneau at a later date as I'm not finding Deveneau in Quebec.

I'm actually trying to locate the marriage of Abram Deveneau or maybe it's Davignon to Lucie UNKNOWN that would have been sometime around 1840-1845.

I have been doing some family research and I came across this thread. Although some of the spellings are different, I am related to William Conley and his wife Mary Anne Bayle. They lived in Waterloo Canada, before settling in Newaygo County, Michigan. According to family records, William is the son of James Conley and Bridget Welch. Mary Anne was the daugheter of John Bayle and Mary Cleary. Have you found any more infomation since you posted this four years ago? Our records only go back to Waterloo around the time they were married.

Thank you for that information. I did happen to have that particular information and I even sent for the Death Cert. for Lucy Deveneau that died in Southwick in March 1880 but unfortunately, it was not Abraham's wife's death cert as we had hoped.

Still looking for the Death Cert. for Abraham's son, Charles Abraham Deveneau that died in 1924 in the Agawam, W. Springfield, Springfield, Westfield area. Any luck with that? I'm hoping to find his mother's actual maiden name as I've been given DeLans, and a number of other names.

I'm having difficulty trying to locate the name Deveneau in Quebec. I found a couple of names in Shefford, Missisquoi but don't know if they're related or not. Lots of Deveneau names in France, but I need to locate my family in Quebec.

There was a Rosella Fountain that married an Abram Deveneau in Quebec, but I don't know where. Zebulon Deveneau stated that she was his mother.

Also, I'm looking for Zebulon Deveneau b: 1833 immigrated to USA 1836 and Abraham Deveneau b: possibly 1813 or 1816 and immigrated in 1836 to USA and married Lucy Delans/Delage/Delush or any other name that looks like these.

Any help here would be most appreciated.

Oops! Just one other little tidbit that was dropped by my cousin: According to my cousin, this fellow Guernsey, who Victoria apparently married after her first husband, my granduncle Renaldo died was actually the Mayor of the town of Lima, Ohio at some point in time.

I just thought that I should share that too.
