what an absolute delight to hear from you.... Just when I was rady to give up... oh how I wish I has listened to my french teacher in school because beyonde reading a cereal box I am pretty much hooped !!!

I don not understand what is in the brackets .... are they the names my grandfather used? as in all 3 names, Jules, Jean, Samuel Baud? Or any of the 3 in combination with Baud-Simon?
If this is the case it speaks volumes as to why I have not been able to find him in any records !!!!

Does: 'veuf de' mean wife of? My grandmother Agnes Sweeney has dies in the mid 40's from cancer so I was wondering why her name was mentioned ?

Who is Rose-Eugenie Chaoui?
Thanks to someone else I have been able to find marriage date thank you for the confirmation.

Finally: are you related in any way to Marguerite? or Marc?
Thank you so much again.... his other grandaughter/ grandson and great grandadughter will be delightes as I am to get this news....

hi louise... yes thanks agin for confirming burial ceremony & plot ect.... thanks to a small funeral card I was able to locate those details.... other than that I have no pictures of Margurite, other than that I have NO information about my grandfather not even a confirmation of where he was born because the documents differ.... some say switzerland, others say France. The only 2 records I have are him marrying my grand mother Agnes Sweeney, his ocuupation was listed as Canadian Army which matches with Canada records. Have record to show that Marc crossed border into Detriot after my dad was born ( 19190 along with Agnes..... My aunt was born in the 20's in Detroit and then nothing .... he reappears in 1952 with his marriage to Marguerite....So what I am trying to do is find his birthplace plus coonect the 'dots' of where is was and what he was doing for some 35 years !!!!
