Thanks alot Evelyn. All the information I have is that Joseph was born in 1851 and Delia was born in 1863.They had about 8 children on of them being my Greatgrandmother Parmelia. As the story goes Parmelia was supposed to be a whole Native but obviously it must have been Delia. Since to the best of my knowledge Fortier is a French name. As far as I know , Joseph and Delia eventually moved to Ontario. Midland , Penetanguishene area.T hat's about all I know. There sems to be Native somewhere on the French side but I am trying to find out where and if it's true. My Grandmother sure looked like she was part Native. I appreciate you trying to help me in this, if there is any help you need in something I would definately try to help you too. Thanks again, Ron

First of all are David and Delia a married couple or was your search for each individual one. I am looking for a Delia with an unknown surname from Quebec in the 1800's but her husband name was Joesph Fortier. Thanks.

I am Louis Bigras daughter. My brothers & sister are trying to find Grandma Bigras Birth Certificate & Death certificate. If anyone knows how to get these documents, please send me E mail. I know she was born in Ripon Quebec. Her name is Delia Marcoux.

2. Could you please list - in a posting or to my private email - the basic information that you have generation by generation. In other words, so-and-so was married to so-and-so in such a decade, and was believed to have the following children and live in the following area.

David and Delia are a married couple with several children.
A quick online search of Quebec marriages for a Joseph Fortier and wife Delia turned up nothing - however there are names that it could be derived from such as Cordelie (and also Delima and Delvina).
Opening up the records involves a fee but if you give me more information such as a location,narrower date or offspring I could give it a try.

I am writing in regards to Delia Marcoux. Doing the family tree has me stumped on the french side of things. I have a great great grandmother by that first name but I don't know her maiden name. I am taking a chance that this could be her. Do you know her married name ,etc.?
