As part of genealogy one can look at tax, military, and probate records to find out more information about a person.

I've been researching my paternal ancestors who lived in Maniwaki, Quebec in the 1800-1900s and can't seem to find tax records available like in the United States. Does Quebec have tax records available? If anyone has information, please let me know.
