There is another book on marriages in the Pontiac. It is called: Pontiac County Protestant Baptisms, Marriages and Burials 1864-1911 (Quebec)- St. George's, St. Stephen's & St. Mathew's Anglican Churches.
by Dawn Murphy.

If you have any ancestors who attending any of those churches, it is a great resource.

My ancestor, Joseph Pigeon (1814-1874) and his spouse Julie Vieau (1815-1899), had their first son Isidore on 11 January 1847, he died on 6 August 1929. The records of Grand Calument (the Drouin Collection provided by Ancestry) begin in 1847. I am looking for the marriage document of Joseph Pigeon and Julie Vieau (or Viau, a.k.a. Desnoyers). They may have married in Grand Calumet or elsewhere, but if your records go back to 1836, I am very much interested in consulting them. Thank you.

Thank you. The information you found on Isidore and his family as well as Joseph and Julie Viau (Desnoyers) is information that I already have documented. These people are my ancestors. Very kind of you to look in your records just the same... do you have anything on a Jacques Desnoyers married to Julie Legault dite DesLauriers, by any chance? Not their marriage (I have that info) but maybe his birth and his death as well as hers.

Merci Jacques Décarie! Le jour ou j'ai reçu votre message, je venais justement de trouver cet acte de mariage... il semblerait que je puisse être sur une bonne piste.
