Is there anyone who would know Paul Lamothe's parents name and where he was born? He married Elmire Belanger 27 Nov 1837 in the Cathedrale Notre-Dame Ottawa and died 5 Oct 1862 in Ste-Cecile-de Masham,La Peche, Qc, Canada. The Canadian Cencus of 1851 and 1861 show him to be a Blacksmith and living in Ste-Cecile. In the a microfiche copy of his death his name is shown as Francois Napoleon Lamothe therefore Paul could have been a nickname for Napoleon. I have Elmire's family and their children however I have reach a blocking point with Paul Lamothe's parents.

Bonjour,

Merci Jacques,
I am looking up the Drioun files within the 1805+ time lines for St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, I had estimated from his death records in 1862 which mentioned he was 55 years of age that the birth year could be 1806 or 07 however, taking the marriage date and going forward is a very good start. I will give feedback on what I find.
