Hi June,

It's been sometime since we've been in contact and I have spent little time in the last several years on my genealogy (too busy with the family). I have made a family connection with George Bryant's descendant (father to Dryden). This has peaked my interest again in the bryant's and I'm really trying to uncover some truths about the family.

Did you ever have any luck determining a connection between Rachel and Mary Ann? I have searched high and low for anything that could help me with Rachel's parents but no luck.

You mentioned previously that George was an apprentice to Dryden. How did you come to that conclusion? I believe you mentioned a census that they were in but I have all George's census records from 1841 to 1871 and then he died in 1875. If you have some documents on George, Rachel, Dryden and Mary Ann that you are able to share, I'd appreciate it. I did look at the marriage certificate for Mary Ann and Dryden and it looked like possibly a Rachel or Samuel McCrum and the second was too faint to read (although I was looking at a digital copy).

I believe Rachel was born between 1830 and 1836 in Ireland (i have sources with different birthdays) . Did you find Mary Ann in the 1851 census? Or was she married by that time.

I would really like to find an answer to this. George's parents ... Thomas and Ann have proved to be a challenging family to research. For some reason, it seems that they have 3 girls with christian name Elizabeth and 3 boys named Esau. I'm still trying to piece it all together but for each problem I solve, I uncover more things that don't make any sense!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Lynn.
