Hello! I am trying to find any information about my grandfather. I believe his correct name is Armand Ludger Tremblay. He may have been born in Hull in 1903. He emigrated to Syracuse NY in 1930, where he married Rose Lamothe of Northbay, Ontario. Rose died in 1950, and Armand died in 1953. If you know anything, I will be grateful. Thank you

Hi David...I read your message and wondered is this website might help you, http://yorkshirebmd.org.uk/cgi/birthind.cgi it's easy to navigate, just click on the dates that are relevant to you, type in the surname, click the search button and that's it, easy.
I'm from Hull myself and have found many of my family on this site. Hope it's of some use? I presume you meant Hull in the UK and not the Hull in Canada?

Thank you for your message, but I am indeed speaking of Hull in Canada, and not in the UK. I am embarassed to say, I was not aware there was a town by the same name in Britain.

Hi David
Do you know if your grandfather had an older brother named
Pierre, who was killed in Belgium at the battle of Ypres during
World War 1. Pierre was the son of Mederic Tremblay and
Emilie (Melia) Fauvel from Buckingham, Quebec about 25 miles east of Hull. Pierre also had a sister Marie who died
as an infant in 1889 and another sister named Genevieve who
was married at Buckingham in the 1920,s to a man whose
family name was Hamilton.

I wish I did have that information. The only sibling of Ludger's that I definately know about is his brother Darius, born circa 1898, who was married to Laurette, maiden name unknown.
Your inquiry would be exactly the kind of information I am looking for. I will pass it on to my Father and see if it brings back and memory for him. Thank you for your help. David Joseph Tremblay

I have a Medric Tremblay born abt 1858 in Quebec but he married a Chevrier in 1889.
Also looking for info on a Joseph Tremblay who married Delima Bertrand, had three children, Delima died with third child and Bertrand grandparents raised all three children. Hoping to find where Delima is buried and what happened to Joseph... and who he was. Delima was born about 1868 and Joseph doesn't look much older than her in the picture. Their children were Arthur, John, & Ida May Tremblay.

Hello,

I just saw your posting which may be very old, but I thought I would try anyway.
I am related to Ludger and Rose Tremblay through marriage. My mother was Rose's sister. I vaguely remember hearing about them but never really knew what happened to them after they left for Syracuse.
If you would like to contact me, I would like to share stories, and bring you up to date on the Lamothe family. I don't really have any info on Ludger Tremblay. I remember them having at least two children, one a girl but I lost track of them too. Looking forward to hearing from you.
