Re: Maud Maloney Watt, L'ange de la Baie d'Hudson
William Ashley Anderson "Angel of Hudson Bay: The true story of Maud Watt" published by Clarke, Irwin & Company, Toronto, 1961, 217 p, ill. The photographic plates are quite fascinating. Anderson's text may come from interviews with Maud Maloney, based on her recollections C1960. A critical review of the book would have to collect a great deal of information, as Anderson's book is not footnoted. I will keep looking at Maud Watt's relatives.

Re: Maud Maloney Watt, L'ange de la Baie d'Hudson
Hi Dee Miller from Alabama,
I just found out last week from my mom L. Charron that Maud was her great aunt after I told my her that I was intrigued with our ancestry.
Charles was Maud's dad and came from Ireland with 8 of his brothers, Charles Maloney and his family lived in Mingan, Quebec. I was on the phone with my mom a few minutes ago and she said there is an error in the book about the location where they lived.
My mom's grand mother is the sister of Maud Maloney Watt they had the same dad Charles but not the same mother were from Lea Blais side his first wife.
I also found out that Charles was a guide a great friend with Edward VII who later became King of England they used to go hunting and fishing together.
I'm at yahoo.
