Surnames: Roy
I am looking for any information on the following Roy families. I believe they were all married in Quebec near Montreal if not in Montreal.
Emery Roy Sr. married Elodie Lachapelle on Feb. 12, 1877 in St. Remi, Napierville.
Amable Roy married Eugenie Loiseau on Nov. 14, 1843 in St. Constant, Laprairie.
Amable Roy married Josephe Robert on Oct. 8, 1810 in St. Phillipe, Laprairie.
Amable Roy married Renee Barbeau-dit-Boisdore on July 14, 1783 in St. Jean-Francois-Regis(St. Phillippe)
Andre Roy married Marie Joly on Feb. 3, 1743/44 in Laprairie
Andre Roy married Suzanne Gourdon-dit-Lachasse Nov. 7, 1718 in Montreal
Pierre married Catherine Ducharme-dit-Fontaine on Jan. 12, 1671/72 in Montreal
Charles Roy married Jeanne Boyer before Oct.23, 1643.
All of the Amables and Andres are different generations, not the same person.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions on where to look to find more info. on these folks it would be very helpful. I have reason to believe there could be some indian heritage somewhere in this group and am very interested in learning more about my indian side if this is true!

A copy of the primary BMD can be researched in this database for free here: https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1321742

There are other resources to use that are fee based.

This a very common myth, however the records might help reveal some clue in your case.

I am assuming that you want to know parents etc. of each couple so will give you the basic info from the marriages.

ST. REMI-DE-LA-SALLE, NAPIERVILLE
Feb. 12, 1877, marriage of Emery Roy of St. Louis de Gonzaque - son ofAmable Roy and Eugenie Lazeau
and Marie Elodie Elmina Lachapelle of this Parish, daughter of Leon Lachapelle and deceased Rebecca Lanetot of this Parish
Int he presence of Amable Roy, father of the spouse, and Leon Lachapelle, father of the spouse.
*****************************

ST REMI -DE -LA-SALLE, NAPIERVILLE
November 14, 1843, marriage of Amable Roy, widower of …………………..
and Eugenie Loiseau, daughter of Francois Loiseau and deceased Julia Nabonne
In the presence of Amable Roy, father of the spouse, and Joseph Boyer and Germain Boyer
** I am not sure of spelling of Nabonne, nor Boyer

so this one is not a 1st marriage for Amable and I cannot make out first wife's name -
*******************************
but I believe I found his first marriage - a bit hard to read but will do my best

ST-CONSTANT-ST-CONSTANT, LAPRAIRIE
….20, 1837 (possibly August?) ,marriage of Amable Roy, son of Amable Roy and deceased Josephte Robert of St. Remi, and Julianne Toupin, daughter of
………..Toupin and Angelique Lafort of this Parish

** I am not sure of Julianne's surname as it is indexed Gore but does not look like that to me in image - looks like Toupin to me but I am looking for her death to see what it shows
****************************
OK I found a burial to fit.
ST REMI-DE-LA-SALLE-NAPIERVILLE
Mar 8, 1841, burial in the cemetery of this Parish the body of Julianne Poupin, age of 23 years, wife of Amable Roy

her name was indexed as Poupare
**********************************
there is a marriage Oct. 19, 1812 Laprairie of a Pierre Toupin and Angelique Lefort his parents Francois Toupin and Catherine Bropard, hers deceased Pierre Lefort and Catherine Lefrancois

the writing much clearer for this entry so Toupin does seem to be the surname
************************

ST-PHILIPPE, LAPRAIRIE
Oct. 8, 1810 marriage of Amable Roi, son of Amable Roi and of Renee Barbieau and Josephte Robert dite Lapommerai, daughter of Pierre Robert dit Lapommerai, and the deceased Josephte Robidau.
***************************

ST-PHILIPPE, LAPRAIRIE
July 14, 1783, marriage of Amable Roy, son of Andre Roy and the deceased Marie Joly of this Parish and Marie Renee Barbeau, daughter of Rene Barbeau and the deceased Louise Arinville (not sure of this surname)
**********************

NOTRE DAME DE LA PRAIRIE DE LA MADELEINE, LAPRAIRIE
Feb. 3, 174, marriage of Andre Roy, son of Andre Roy and of Susanne Gourdon and Marie Joly , daughter of Nicolas Joly and Marie Beaudet
***************

BASILIQUE NOTRE-DAME, MONTREAL
November 7, 1718, marriage of Andre Roy, aged of 26 years, son of Pierre Roy and Catherine Ducharme, and Susanne Gourdon, age of 30 years, daughter of Jean Baptiste Gourdon and Michelle Parin.
******************

*first time I have seen ages given for bride and groom in a marriage record in Quebec

I did not find marriage for Pierre Roy and Catherine Ducharme dit Fontaine

nor the marriage for Charles Roy and Jeanne Boyer

Are you wanting more on these people such as burials, children etc.??

This info is amazing! If you can find any other info, it would be wonderful. I am hoping to find an indian heritage and any names and info would be very helpful. With names I can start searching census records and/or indian census rolls.
Thank you!!

There are 100's to 1000's of individuals to research, as your direct ancestral lineage is not just "Roy". Maternal lines are equal to paternal in the gene game.

There are no Indian Census rolls in Canada. Census rolls before 1851 are scant in detail, and not available for every canton.

The story of having First Nation origin is the #1 family tall tale. Instead of trying to find evidence to "prove" a story, allow the evidence you find to write the story.

That makes a lot of sense! Let the info write the story! I just remember seeing a picture at my grandparents house of a lady that looked to be very much indian. I know she was a grandmother or great grandmother of either my grandma or grandpa. Wish I had asked more questions while I had the chance.
