Martin Washman Kelly
Ref: Whitney Families of Connecticut (3 Vols) and its Affiliations - Henry Whitney (1649 to 1878) by S. (Stephen?) Whitney Phoenix. Vol. II, page 1335. Martin was a cabinet maker from Phillipsburgh, Quebec, Canada. It said he died 18 Feb. 1847 in Stanbridge and is buried there. So far I have not found any chuch record to confirm that information except for the marriage record. married Sarah Blakely 23 Jun 1842. They had 3 daughters, one born 1843 Bedford and died one year later, Sarah Catherine, my gg- grandmother born in Sabravois in 1845 lived in Stanbridge, Mercy P.was born 28 Feb. 1847 10 days after Martin's death. Mercy married Oscar Bockus and they lived in Stanbridge. I have been told his parents were Joseph Kelly and Sophia Blakely, but again I have not found any proof.
