Looking for information on family of John McKillop and Mary Crawford, m. 9 December 1764 in Corrie, Kilbride Parish, Isle of Arran, Buteshire, Scotland.
They sailed from Corrie, to Inverness, Megantic Co., Quebec, on "Albion" in 1829 asa result of the Arran Clearances.

Children were:
Peter McKillop b. 1796 in Corrie
John McKillop b. 17 June 1799 in Corrie
Catharine McKillop 1804.
Donald McKillop b. ca. 1805 in Corrie
Mary McKillop b. ca. 1806 in Corrie
Alexander McKillop b. ca. 1812 in Corrie
Malcolm McKillop b. ca. 1812 in Corrie
William McKillop b. ca. 1813 in Corrie
Isabella McKillop b. ca. 1815 in Corrie

Of these children I know that Peter died in 1864 in Inverness;
John (my gg-grandfather), married Janet Shaw and settled in Bonaventure Co., Quebec;
Catherine died 1887 in Inverness;
Alexander I believe died in Chatham, Kent Co., Ontario;
Malcolm died in Inverness.

I would be grateful for further info on this family and would be happy to share data.

According to J.G. Kinnear in Pioneer Families of Leeds Township" p.181 John and Peter opened a stone shed, but bad luck in the form of tuberculosis plagued the family, most of the boys succumbing to it early in their lives, as did their father. After Francis' death, Isabella went to live with her son George in Boston. She did return to the farm to find that the house had been vandalized, and amongst other things, all her books stolen, and the wide pine floor boards ripped

Pat, I run across a note referencing you and Luz Marina Custin. She was married to Ralph White. She was my great aunt and I would be interested in contacting you in reference to her and her family.

Hello. I am happy to help you if I can. I'm a bit curious about Luz and Ralph. It appears she often went to Cuba to visit family there.
