I am the great great granddaughter of Joseph Henry Beaumier born March 25 1862 of Three Rivers Canada. He Died April 17, 1920 and is buried in Brenham, Texas. He met his wife Mary McConnon (born in Ireland) in NYC and moved to Brenham. Joseph Henry started Beaumier Ironworks.

I am looking for the records of Sarah's ancestors. Her father is listed as Ephraim Denault, born 1826 - St Augustin QC (west of Quebec City), and mother is Marie Paquette (Paquet), born 1843, Ste Scholastique (Mirabel) QC. Sarah was born in 1878, died in Ontario Canada in 1951.

Bonjour from Lachine, Québec.
André Barsa, also named Lafleur or Le Limousin, was a soldier of the «Régiment de Carignan», compagnie La Fredière, sent to Nouvelle France in 1665. He left La Rochelle on 13/05/1665, arrived in Québec on 19/08/1665.
Françoise Pilois was a «Fille du Roy» from Paris, she arrived at Québec in september 1669 and was married to Barsa in Montréal on 02/12/1669.
They were established in1669 in Longueuil (south shore of Montréal island) as farmers, had 6 children, of which the 5th, Catherine was my direct ancestor, having married in second wedding, Pierre Guindon.
Try on the web PRDH for the genealogy of french Canada until 1800.

I read that story about joachim beeing from ireland.
In 3 different census,1881,1891 and 1901,it says that joachim was born in Quebec,his wife Mary in Ireland.
In 1901 census,it says joachim was born in 1819.He is widow at that time since his wife Mary died 17/03/1900,and lived whith his son Francis(Ellen Conningham)in Grand Calumet Island.
On church record,joachim is born 01/07/1819 in Maskinonge Quebec..seems to match
I never found their mariage.
Same for Leandre,born in maskinonge Quebec in 1851 census,and on 1891 census,his son,Francis(Mary Jane Tang)told his father was born in Quebec.
So I don't agree with this story beeing from Ireland,but...

I did not find the birthday of Jeremi,their father.
On his civil Marriage in 1808 it says Jeremi is 27 ,then should be born in 1781.I found 8 brothers from 1778 to 95,
(see list below).No Jeremi.
Adopted? Or first name change?
there's a Joachim born in 1782 ,I did not find mariage,no death,nothing about him..same person??I'm still workink on it.
I'll like your idea on this.
By chance ,do you have the mariage of Joachim and Mary Dougherty ,and Francis (his son) and Ellen Cunningham?

Long story,
First we knew that Joachim and Leandre were brothers by the marriage of their grand children,Joseph Mc Cart and Elisabeth Lamothe (12 nov 1894 Bondfield Ontario).
Then I found Joachim,son of Jeremie And Catherine Voligny.
On the civil marriage act of Jeremi and Catherine(30/09/1808,notaire Antoine Gagnon act # 4185),he is named Jeremie Germain Lamothe.
As I can't find any Leandre Lamothe son of Jeremi,I look for Leandre Germain ,and bingo..
Then with census,children batismal,godfather ect ..
But i'm still wondering why 3 children are Germain on records and the others are Lamothe?

Remember this alias Jeanvaine ?Check the prononciation of "Germain" and "Jeanvaine",in english..

Hi,
From the mariage of his son Francis(Francois)and Mary Jane Tang,father name was Leandre Lamothe and mother Sophie Louhirier.
Then I search for this mariage and found Leandre and Sophie Couturier in Ottawa in 1840.
I found 5 children for this couple,and 1851 census .
I found Sophie in Montreal 4/8/1807.
took a while to figure that out.

We are looking for Anglican Church records for St. Gabriel de Brandon. Our ancestor was Robert Goudie, school teacher and farmer at St. Gabriel. Robert's wife was either Margaret Fraser. She died about 1834. They had four children: Elizabeth, Susan, John and William. Oldest three were born in Ireland, William was born at St. Gabriel de Brandon.

Robert Goudie/Goudy was a school teacher and farmer on Concession of St. David. His name is listed on the plaque for early settlers of Lake Maskinonge Settlement.

Further to my note on sept.21, I have found my great grandfather and great grandmother lived on a farm near Rolla. His name was Emelien Lagasse b.1851 L'acadia Quebec d.1940 St.John N.D. Her name was Zenaide Lussier b. about 1857 d.1929; married in 1876. It appears they were in North Dakota for awhile as some on the children were born there and some in Quebec then at least 1 or 2 more in N.D. They apparently homesteaded on a piece of land that is still in Lagasse name. My Grandfather went by the name Joseph b.1877 in N.D. d.? glentworth, Gramma was Elemina Jalbert b.1879 in Maine. They married in 1897 in St. John N.D. started family and my Dad (Noel) was about #8 b.1909. Gramma and Grampa immigrated to Glentworth and settled there. I have a feeling that some of the names you mentioned are likely cousins. It looks like my grandmother's family moved back and forth from the states to Canada as her siblings were born in both. We will just have to keep looking. I will have to try to locate some around here.

just on another note - my great grandfather's second wife - her maiden name was Jalbert.

There are Lagasse's buried in Monarch, and Holy Cross Cemetery - Fort Macleod. These Lagasse's are descendants of Ferdinand Lagace 1798-1874 > Louis Lagasse 1829-1905>Louis Lagasse 1863-1928 > Jean Johnny Louis Lagasse 1916-1991 - this family line lives in Athabasca, Morinville, St. Albert - some are buried in St. Albert, Vimy, AB etc they had originated in Quebec. Louis was a hotelier, and some of the family ended up in the Lethbridge area

Do you know Joseph's birthdate, and where he was born? There will be a connection- I would just need more information.

My direct line many of them came from the Weedon, Quebec area. My great great grandfather was Augustin Lagace Lagasse 1843-1923 he joined many of his sons who had relocated to Gravelbourg, Sask in the early 1900's. My great grandfather was Arthur , and my grandfather Phillipe born 1903. One of Arthur' brother's moved to Manitoba after Saskatchewan, and while there are many Lagasse's and descendants still in Gravelbourg - many of them left in the1930' - to Manitoba with the bulk of that family going to Maillardville (which is now part of I believe Port Coquitlam, BC). I would just need more information as "Joseph" well most had "Joseph" as their first name on their birth certificates due to Catholics having to have a 'saints" name - some actually went by that - however in one family it is possible that all the males had Joseph as the first name on the birth certificate and some used their middle names etc. In the early 1900's many travelled back and forth between Canada and the US for work. I know that there are Lagasse's in the Lethbridge/Medicine Hat area that their direct line goes back to Augustin Lagasse- and who still have family members in Gravelbourg

I hope you can provide my "missing link". My ancestor is John P. Brunelle (1853-4 to 1929). He was born in Canada. He married twice, first to Narcissa Seymour and second to Rose M. Blanchard. Both marriages were in Vermont. He had 12 children all together, one being Edward, who was my great grandfather. I have found a 1870 census record that I "think" references John. In it, his parents are listed as Peter and Mary. His siblings are Augustin, Celinda, Mitchel, and Sarah. Parents and Children were all born in Canada. Do any of these people reside in your tree?

I am a newbie at this and am trying to find info about my grandfather Joseph Lagasse who lived in southern Saskatchewan since about 1911. My dad Noel Lagasse was born in North Dakota in 1909. I have a land discription but nothing much more. My gramma's maiden name was Jalbert. Do you think that there is a link between your great grandparents and mine? Any info or direction to go for info would really help. My name is Marilyn Martens(Lethbridge,AB.) and my Dad moved to Manitoba in 1940. I have uncles though that moved further west later on.

I saw this post while trying to look up information on Lamphron. My great grandmother was Leona Lamphron Chilson. She was Irene's sister. I have her father as Samuel and mother as Salina or Selina. Do you have any further information beyond Samuel or Salina? I would love to share!

The burial record for your great-grandfather at Saint-Tite reads as follows:

"June 21st 1897 we have buried in the cemetary of this parish Arcade Veillet husband of Hermine Smith from Lowell MA, who died in an accident at Saint-Stanislas parish on the 17th, at age 26."

Witnesses (who signed): Claïr Veillet and Eugène Brouillette.

So he died on 06/17/1897, not 06/07/1897, and there is no mention of an "Indian cemetary".

How do I find what native tribe Pamela is? I have a 4 generation picture with Pamela and she looks native?
Also my great grandfather died at 28 years old in a accident in St-Tite, QC and I am told he is buried in a Indian cemetary his name is Arcade Veillet or spelled Veillette, born Ste Genevieve de Batiscan QC8-april 1869-killed 7-june 1897 St-Tite, QC 1897.

All Lamprons, Lamproe, Lampro, Lampohron, Lachrite, Desfosses, St.Louis (and some) Lamberts (from Maine) are blood relatives all coming from Jean Laspron/LaCharite/Lampron and Anne Michele Renault(Renauld). The French Canadian Catholic Church and Quebec Prov maintain excellent records going back to 1600 (in Nova Scotia in 1600). The American Canadian Geno logical Society in Manchester, NH has an excellent library. I gave them a book of LAMPRONS with 2400 names in it with many branches. The Book is available from LaSalle University in Trois Rivers, PQ for a small fee. I bought it and it was worth while--I converted it to Family Tree File format and GED format. It is accurate up to 1920 and a bit beyond.

Ive been stuck for years at this guy who is my 4th great grandfather (paternal). I know his father was Jean Baptiste but he was from "Europe". Trying to get back to wherever he came from.

Does anyone have access to the parish records?

Joseph Magnan married Pamela Chaille in 1882 in Sainte-Thecle; her parents were Elie Chaille and Sara Vezina.

Pamela was recorded in the 1881 Census living in Sainte-Thecle, age 20.

Elie Chaille married Sara Vezina January 9th 1855 in Saint-Basile, Portneuf county. Parents were (Jean Chaille, Angelique Leclerc) and (Joseph Vezina, Marie-Anna Magnan).

My father George Ethienne Veillette born 1923 in St.Tite Quebec and died Maine USA, his mother Cordelia Robitaille married Georges Jean Veillette. Cordelia father Joesph Robitaille married Angelina Magnan from Ste Thecle, Quebec, her mother was Pamela Chaille. sounds like we are related. My grandmother was Irene lamphron. Her brothers John and Leonard moved to Rochester. I am just starting doing research on the lamphron tree. Take a look a what i have listed so far and if you can add anything that would be great. I had heard about the Anne , indian before but did not know if that was true. Good to see the information.
