The burial record for your great-grandfather at Saint-Tite reads as follows:

"June 21st 1897 we have buried in the cemetary of this parish Arcade Veillet husband of Hermine Smith from Lowell MA, who died in an accident at Saint-Stanislas parish on the 17th, at age 26."

Witnesses (who signed): Claïr Veillet and Eugène Brouillette.

So he died on 06/17/1897, not 06/07/1897, and there is no mention of an "Indian cemetary".

Obviously not.

Most people believe that they have native ancestry... and most of them are wrong.

Good evening - no relationship with my family but did found the attached pictures of Pomela Chaille and Elie Chaille/Seraphine Vezina. They were proud settlers of Ste-Thecle but Chaillé and Vezina families were not Indians.
