The Vellow family are descendants of Joseph David Vignola/Fiola. He was born in Rimouski, Quebec, 26 June 1784 - son of Joseph Vignola/Fiola and Madeleine Proulx.

He married Nini/Anne/Marie-Anne Kichiabonake at the Oka, Kahnawake Reserve near Montreal, 18 August 1817.
,,,,"After the publication of three banns, marriage of Joseph Vignola, farmer living at Chaudieres [Lac Chaudiere near Onslow Québec], age 29 years and Marie Anne Kichiabanokwe, age 31 years, widow of François Delaronde of this mission. Present: Jacques Wab-odjik, Jean Baptiste Anawabandjigan and Medard Missoji."

Joseph David was the brother of my ancestor, Barnabe Vignola/Fiola.

I have the family history beginning with our first ancestor, a German Soldier from Hungary, to your branch of the Vellows. I will be happy to share what I have with you.

Ryan, I am trying this forum as I googled you. I have tried to email you several times and they never go through. Dad has been unable to find your correct phone number.

Thank you so much for the lovely birthday card. We are working at getting settled here in St George and adjust to lower income during retirement. It has been hectic here for weeks but Shawn and family moved into their home down the street today and life should become easier again.

I hope this reaches you. We love you and would love to see you when you are in the area.

lots of love and hugs, Bonnie

Hello, I find your information just now. I will very happy to know about this history about Joseph the soldier. I don't have clear information about this. At the marriage of Joseph and Madeleine is not mentionned , i can see son of Joseph and Genevieve Despres, but I think very hardly it's not true.

and here 17-04-1793: "... au baptême de Barnabé, fils de Joseph Fiola, allemand de nation..."
I think is the truth Joseph father of Barnabé is allemand.
