Cyrille Ouellet, son of Charles and Tharsille Blais, was baptised on Sept. 17, 1843 in Saint-Eustache. They are said to be from Saint-Benoit.
The following children of Charles and Marcelline Sarrazin were all baptised in Oka:
Joseph Georges on 26 sept 1874
Joseph Wilfrid on 19 Feb 1877
Marie Anne on 19 Mar 1879
Albertine bapt. on 22 Dec 1880 and buried on 23 Dec 1881
Joseph Nelson on 21 Dec 1882
Joseph Charles Thomas Anaclet on 22 Oct 1884
Joseph Adélard 18 Nov 1885
Joseph Adélard 15 July 1886
Marcelline S. deid in Oka on 13 Dec 1893 was buried on the 16.
Marcelline is the daughter of Joseph Sarrazin and Marie-Clémence Paquette, who were married in Saint-Martin on Jan. 27, 1847. Joseph Sarrazin is the son of Jean-Baptiste and Charlotte Rochon. Marie-Clémence Paquette is the daughter of Pierre and Marie Monette.
The records of Saint-Martin would be a good bet to look for Marcelline's baptism.

These informations are been found in Oka repertories of baptism and burial. The twins Hector and Joseph are born in 1867. A Oka,the baptism of this family start in 1874. From 1865, weddind'date to 1874, we have to found where the children are been baptiszed. St-Joseph-du-Lac? St-Eustache? St-Benoît?
In the Cahiers d'histoire de Deux-Montagnes, vol. 3, no 5, oct 1980, I found these inf. : in 1860, Chls Ouellet and Jo Sarrazin are neighbour. In 1857, Ch. Ouel. is élected «marguillier» of the parish of St-Joseph-du-Lac.

Jocelyne: Thank you for your info of Mar. 22. I had written to the Quebec Archives & they gave me the info after 1874, when they lived in St. Joseph du Lac. parish, but it did not cover the lost years of Hector & Joseph 1867....in the 1871 census, the Ouellette's were living in qc.vaudreuil.ste_marthe, if you know were this is. But thank you again, the info you gave me was very informative. Isabelle

Ste. Marthe is a village in Vaudreuil County, Quebec (the one-time seigneury of Vaudreuil), which is on the South side of the Ottawa River more-or-less across the river from Deux Montagnes (the one-time seigneury of Deux Montagnes) where the settlement/village of St. Joseph du Lac and the village of Oka are located. I have been there! I have been in the R.C. church there! I have a friend who lives there in the former rectory of the church there. It looks from the census as though the parents were living there briefly with the father working as an agricultural labourer (cultivateur) when the twins were born.
