"Maison Bélisle" c.1830s

Surnames: Counter, Gero, Geroux
I am looking for family information (abt. 1820-1840) from the town of "Maison Bélisle" (or just Bélisle). Does anyone have an idea where I can look for such info online? I am particularly interested in the family names COUNTER (Julia, specifically); GERO (Joseph & or Henry) (alt sp.Geroux)

I have the following locale info from <http://www.toponymie.gouv.qc.ca/default.asp>;:

type d'entité: Bien culturel
Région administrative: Lanaudière
Municipalité régionale de comté: Les Moulins
Municipalité: Terrebonne, V

Thanks

"Maison Bélisle" is NOT a town, it is only the name of a well known historical house in the town of Terrebone.

I made a quick look up, anyway, in the county repertoire of marriages and could not find any GIROUX (Geroux) married either with Counter or Lemoine... it is possible you might be looking in the wrong region.... sorry!

Hello Glen
Have you tried searching under the surname Gareau.
There were many Gareau familes at Ste.Anne des Plaines
which is in Terrebone county. Also try the parish of st.Louis
de France in Terrebonne. Dont forget to also take a look at
near by Mascouche
best of luck
