I am looking for information on Julia Chapagne's parents and grandparents. She was baptized 30 Dec 1882 at St. Barthelemy in Berthier. Her parents are George Champagne and Eloise Dufresne. I have a marriage date of 21 August 1878 or 1879 for the parents. Thank you for any info.

Johan, Thank you for your reply and info. Yes I do need some other info. Do you have anything else on Louis Dufresne and Adelaide Laliberte?
I also got some info from the church in Berthier, St. Barthelemy that makes no sense. For Elise there is a marriage on 15 Nov 1922 husband Joseph Degre she would have been 43. Did Albina ever marry?
Thank you again for your help.

St-Barthelemy is in the county of Berthier and near the town of Berthier, it is the name of the parish and the town. The parish for the town of Berthier is "Ste-Genevieve de Berthier". Also know that there is an other Berthier in the Quebec city region and that would be a totaly different region than the one I have found information for you up to now.
DUFRESNE, Louis (Joseph & Marguerite Lachance) died and buried: 1890-12-09 (age 84) in St-Barthelemy (BMS p.S118)
- m: 1841-09-28 St-Barthelemy, Comte de Berthier (BMS p.M39)
LALIBERTE, Adelaide (Alexis & Therese Page) n.b.: real family name is "Colin dit Laliberte" + Adelaide also used the name Eloise died: 1893-06-19 (age 77) body was found: 1894-04-19 (I presume she probably drowned) buried: 1894-04-19 in St-Barthelemy (BMS p.S180)
They have 3 other children, beside Eloise, who married in St-Barthelemy
DUFRESNE, Olivine - m: 1874-07-07 St-Barthelemy (BMS p.M39) LEBEAU, Telesphore (Olivier & Julie Barette) of St-Didace
DUFRESNE, Adolphe - m: 1876-09-01 St-Barthelemy (BMS p.M40) PEPIN, Adelima (Charles & Eloise Croisetiere)
DUFRESNE, Elise - m: 1877-06-19 St-Barthelemy (BMS p.M40) SARRAZIN, Henri Berthier (Norbert & Delphine Dupuis) of St-Norbert
There is all the children baptism and death I have found
Emelie birth and baptism: 1842-07-18 died: 1843-01-13 buried: 01-15 age 6 months
Emelie birth and baptism: 1843-08-19
Adolphe birth and baptism: 1844-10-01
Julie birth and baptism: 1846-06-13 died:1861-11-15 buried: 11-18 age 15yrs
Francois Xavier birth: 1848-04-06 baptism: 04-07
Marie Louise birth: 1850-02-26 baptism: 02-27 died:1866-06-15 buried: 06-17 age 16yrs (under the Louise)
Mathilde birth: 1852-03-12 baptism: 03-13
Marie Adele birth: 1854-03-22 baptism: 03-24
Twins no name died at birth died: 1856-04-07 buried: 04-09
Marie Elise birth and baptism: 1857-06-26
Marie Elise birth and baptism: 1861-02-14
Joseph birth and baptism: 1860-01-06 died: 1860-01-08 buried: 01-10 age 2 days
Louis birth and baptism: 1865-05-01
All of this I have found in the parish and town of St-Barthelemy in the county of Berthier. I also looked into the parish of Ste-Genevieve de Berthier (church of the town of Berthier), for any additional children baptism, burial and marriages, did not found any, even though it was a commun practice to have children baptise in other surrounding parishes.
But I have found a marriage for one of their son in St-Cuthbert, also in the county of Berthier.
DUFRESNE, Louis (Louis & Adelaide Laliberte) - m: 1893-02-13 St-Cuthbert (Marriages p.61) LEBEAU, Amanda (Norbert & Marie Drinville) but, I assume that they did not stay there since I could not find any children for them in that parish.
As for the 2 other ladies you are asking about, I can't search for people with no family name and parents... it is the first time you mention them, so I have no idea who they are suppose to relate to and where they fit... Please be more specific.
Also know, that I checked into Berthier and in St-Barthelemy for a Joseph Degre (most probably Dugre) did not find any such name in the marriage sections for 1922 or any other dates for that matter, not in those 2 parishes.

Johan,
Thank you so much for all the work that you did. It is a big help. Also thank you for the explanation of the two Berthiers. Reading throught the info I saw the last name Drinville. I have been sending someone info on the Plantier family and doing one of those I seem to remember a Drinville. Small world. Again thank you.

The real name for Drinville is De Rainville...!!!
Most commun variations of that name are:
Rainville Rinville Drainville Drinville
In case you decide to do some research on them... they are all descendants of:
DE RAINVILLE, Paul (Jean & Jeanne Burchet) of St-Thomas-de-Touques, diocèse de Bayeux, Normandie
- m1: abt 1638 Touques, Normandie, France POETE, Roline I have 4 children for them in my data bank already and also some of their descendants...
- m2: (marriage contract) septembre 01, 1666 Beauport, Quebec notary: Michel Filion MICHEL, Marie (parents not mention) I have no children for them at this time...
A nefew of Paul De Rainville also came here...
BAZIN, Pierre-Marie (Etienne & Marthe De Rainville, sister of Paul)
Any research you do on the De Rainville family, no matter how the name is spell, will bring you to that immigrant... As far as I know he is the ancestor for all of them...

I hope someone is still keeping an eye on this post, it has been years since anyone has replied. Are you related to the people in your previous post? If so, we may have a connection. I am looking for information on vital Champagne and Elisabeth Morin who had a son Telesphore Champagne. Telesphore married Lumina Baillargeon in April of 1882. I am not sure what the BMS mentioned in your last post stands for. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

BMS is French for:
Birth, Marriage, and Sepulture (Death dates).
