I found a post from 2005 that says it is best to find the board locality where the ancestor lived, but I'm having difficulty figuring out which board it would be as I am geographcially challenged, particularly when it comes to Quebec. I see the board tree goes "Boards > Localities > North America > Canada > Québec", but after that I'm not sure how to further fine tune the search as I am not clear on the geography of Quebec between 1775-1852. There are so many choices and I haven't a clue what to click on to further narrow down the board location to capture their home parishes. In the 1852 census, I see cousins of my ancestors are from Boucherville (Coallier) and Varennes (Bissonette) and a branch went off to Montreal (Novion/Navion). The baptisms often seem to have occurred at Trois-Rivieres, although I've seen St. Constant, too. How or where should I further winnow down the board selections to be more location specific? Thank you.
