Quebec Baptismal Records and Illegitimacy

I have a question regarding the birth of my great-great-great-grandfather, Joseph Verville dit Bourbeau. Joseph was born in Becancour on 3 December 1785 to Antoine Bourbeau dit Verville and Josephte Veins. What’s interesting is that nowhere on his baptismal record does it indicate that he was born of a “mariage légitime” – or legitimate marriage – as is seen on other records of the day. Here’s the thing -- Antoine Verville and Josephte Veins were married on 31 October 1785, about a month before Joseph was born, meaning that while his parents were married at the time of his birth, they were not married at the time of his conception.
My questions are as follows:

- Was Joseph’s birth not considered legitimate because his mother was approximately 8 months pregnant with him at the time of her marriage?

- Could Joseph’s biological father have been someone other than Antoine Verville? (I actually doubt this, since, as I understand it, the true father would be noted on the baptismal record)

It also must be noted that when Joseph was married to Charlotte Mailhot in 1810, Antoine Verville was clearly named as Joseph’s father.

A copy of Joseph Verville’s baptismal record can be found here:

A copy of Antoine Bourbeau dit Verville and Josephte Veins’ marriage record can be found here:

Any clarification of this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Best,
Dave
