I use ancestry and familysearch for my initial findings. Then the first site below is easy to use. I just bought a few "tokens" for when I find records. I don't use the family tree feature.

Then this next site is more advanced and a monthly service fee. I use the sites as double checkers for the records I have. It also has original pictures like ancestry.

http://genealogiequebec.com/ (this is entirely in french)

They both list dates and children so it is easy to look at.
Google translate is a wonderful thing.

No matter what site I may try I always come back to ancestry for my trees
