WOW! Absolutely AWESOME!

Could I push my luck? This is George OWEN Connolly birth record I believe. I have never been able to tell who his mother is though I have guessed.

Appreciate any assistance.

I believe this is her death record. I thought it was Kihen.

Could you translate this?

Appreciate your great response.

My translation skills are limited to basically pulling the names and dates out, sorry. But searching the PRDH and the Drouin site, I've seen Egan, Reagan, Kiggan, Keegan, Quagan, Higgins, and Kihen as Marys married to Patrick. Hard to say without looking at mroe collateral records. Good luck!

Hi,
I can't access the link that you posted. I have an account on Ancestry.ca but not on Ancestry.com

Would you please tell me the date of the document that you believe is his birth record?

Hi,
I've found the marriage record of the couple Owen George Connolly and Marie Lambert.
Here it is:
In the margin:
M1er
owe George
Connoly
&
M. Lambert
The text:
The signatures:
PattconnLy (a guess of the handwriting)
V.Plinguet Ptre

Litteral translation:
This twelve of January one thousand eight hundred forty seven after the publication of three banns of marriage done at the pulpit of our parish masses between Owen (see note below) George Connoly resident in this parish, son of age of Patrick Connoly and May (or Mary?) Kigens, from the first part, and Marie Lambert resident in this parish, daughter under age of Francois Lambert and Suzanne Juaire from this parish, on the other part, having found no impediment to this marriage, us parish priest of this place, undersigned, has with the agreement of the parents, received their mutual consent of marriage and has given them the nuptial blessing in presence of Patrick Connoly undersigned, of Francois Lambert fathers of the spouses, of Gabriel Lambert and James Connoly who, nor the spouses, did not know how to sign.

Note by Jackie: at some places the priest made spelling mistakes or he did not know the correct orthograph, e.g. owe for Owen, May for Mary, Kigens for Keaghan, parens for parents.
I made a guess of Patrick Connoly signature.

Regards,
Jackie

Hi Jackie,

Your assistance is tremendous and appreciated.

This is my link to Owen Connolly 1823 baptism record at St-Anthanase-de-Bleury, Iberville, Quebec. I believe I may have asked before but not sure if it was in this way. So any help is appreciated.

Hi Kevin,
It takes me 5 minutes ! That's nothing.

B. 71
Owen Connolly

In the margin:
B. 71
Owen Connolly
The text:
On the thirty one of August one thousand eight hundred twenty three, us parish priest undersigned has baptized owen aged of nine months, legitimate son of Patrick Conolly Farmer in the Seigniory Noyan and of mary Reagan. The father is present. The godfather Dennis McCarthy. The godmother Honora Ryan who did not know how to sign.

Bill Gaulin priest

Note from Jackie: the word "sçu" is old French, and is the same as "su". Both are the past tense of the verb "to know", the verb "savoir" in French. The "n'" is the contraction for "ne .. pas" which means "don't" or "did not", depending of the time of the verb.

Hi Jackie,

Hope all is well.
I could use some more help with some record translations.
The first one is for a Patrick Connelly. I'm not sure if it is a grandfather or his grandson with the same name.
I have a Patrick Connolly (Connelly) death record of December 24, 1862.
Appreciate your assistance!
