Hi Ingrid,

Where and when was Augustin married with Marie-Jeanne Lévesque, and who were her parents? Did they have more than four children born at Kénogami?

Thanks, Dennis

Ah, that explains it :) Many thanks again to both you and Rosaline for your kind assistance. It seems to be a common thread amongst those of with a love for our pasts. If ever I can help with anything ( I can type up a storm and take great care with accuracy), please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Dennis,
Piqued your interest? LOL
They married 9Sep1936 in Jonquière (could be St. Dominique or Ste. Famille - no supporting documentation for this). Marie-Jeanne Levesque, daughter of Robert Levesque and Eleonore Gauthier, died age 32 in 1948, but not before bringing 8 children into the world between 1937 and 1946. We believe the first six children were born at home, possibly in Kenogami, with the last two (twins) born in the Clinique de Jonquiere.

Anything else I can provide?
Ingrid

Thanks. No, it's just that I had incomplete information.

I did find the following four children in the Drouin Collection for Kenogami:

M-Anne-Marguerite-Ghislaine, n/b Kenogami 1/2 Sep 1937.
Joseph-Bertrand-Jean-Yves, n & b Kenogami 29 May 1939.
Joseph-Victorien-Bernard (twin), n & b Kenogami 15 Jun 1940.
Joseph-Robert-Bertrand (twin), n & b Kenogami 15 Jun 1940.

How are you related? A daughter or granddaughter of Augustin?

Dennis

Four more:
Gaetan b 24 Feb 1942
Micheline b 12 Feb 1944
Denise & Denis b 7 Sep 1946 (2nd set of twins)
Denis is my wonderful husband. He was 18 months old when his mum died, so no one really knows who the baby is. They were born at the Clinique de Jonquiere (we believe all the others were born at home), but the Clinique burned to the ground so there are no records that we know of.
The confusion on place of birth is that Kenogami and Jonquiere were separated by la Rue Nelson and they lived on the corner of Nelson. Mothers are often the ones that remember details like time of birth, etc. but sadly she didn't live long enough to see them into adulthood.
You're a real champ in my books! Can I send you some Swiss chocolate?

Sorry, I'm not making the connection. Augustin Lebel was my Father-in-Law. If you can point me in the direction of Eicelsheim I might be able to help (at least I'd like to if possible).

Eicelsheim married van der Erve. I looked the names up and they came up in your family tree. So I really don't know how the connection begins or ends. That is why I was inquiring. Maybe a long long connection maybe?

Thank you for checking,
Billy
