Lindsay Buck 1923 - 2009 - Lindsay Buck, 85, of Providence St., Shediac, NB passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Born August 7, 1923 in Magdalen Island, Québec, he was the son of the late Forbes and Viney (Burke) Buck. Lindsay served in the Maritimes and in British Columbia as a member of the RCAF during World War II. Upon his return to civilian life, he was employed as an accountant. He is survived by his two step-daughters, Sharon Lavoie (Mike) of Québec and Marion Jean Stanistreet of Alberta; one step-son, Charles Stanistreet of B.C., sister, Serena Buck-Fournier (Charlie) of Québec, and his long time friend, companion and caregiver Helen O'Brien of Shediac and her family. He is predeceased by his wife Ruth (Kirk) Buck (1990), stepson Kirk Stanistreet, sister Melba Buck, and brothers Waldon and Ness. No visitation or funeral service by his request.
