MEDFORD, Mass., formerly of Somerville, Mass., passed away at her home in
MEDFORD on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008. She was 89 years old. Born in Canada, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edmond H. and Lillie (Best)
Keating. She was the loving mother of Phyllis and her husband Gerald Hart of Boca Raton, Fla., Larry and his wife Elizabeth
Jackson of Homestead, Fla., Linda and her husband Richard
Hildebrand of New Gloucester, and David
Jackson of
Boston, Mass.; cherished grandmother of William and his wife Kimberly
Hildebrand of Ipswich and April
Hildebrand of Malden; and dear great-grandmother of Abigail and Harrison
Hildebrand of Ipswich. Eva was one of 12 children born to the late Edmund and Lillie (Best)
Keating of the Magdalen Islands, Canada. Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High St., Medford, Mass., Thursday, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Glasgow. Born in Magdalen Islands,
Que., he was a son of the late Francis and Alice (
Dunn) Goodwin. He was a resident of
Hopewell for the past 10 years, having previously lived in Dartmouth. He was a member of St. Columba United Church,
Hopewell. He was employed at the naval research establishment in Dartmouth for a number of years and was later employed at CFB Shearwater until retirement. He is survived by three sons, Myles, Montreal; Barry, Waverley; Alan, Whitehill,
Pictou County; eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Roberta (Bertie) Turple; brother, Raymond; two sisters, Vivian, Agnes. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday in St. Columba United Church, Rev. Marjorie Cornelius officiating. Burial will be in MacLean Cemetery,

Pictou, formerly of Scotch Hill, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 27, 1999, in the home. Born in Grand Entry, Magdalen Islands,
Que., on October 3, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Thomas W. and
Hannah E. Goodwin Rankin. Florence moved with her family from the Magdalen Islands to Scotch Hill in her early teens, where she resided most of her life, until taking up residence at Lakeside Villa Seniors Apartments in
Lyons Brook. She had been a resident of Maritime
Odd Fellows Home for the past three years. Florence was a member of
Lyons Brook United Church, the United Church Women, and the Women's Institute. She is survived by son, J. Floyd and wife Ruby,
Lyons Brook; foster daughter, Carol and husband George E. MacKenzie,
Bible Hill; grandchildren, Krystal Munro, Pictou; Travis Rudolph, Halifax; Beth MacKenzie-Dunn, Moncton; Glen
MacKenzie, Truro; Kenneth

Bible Hill; great-grandchildren,
Hannah and Julia
Dunn, Moncton; several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Florence was predeceased by her husband,
Percy, in 1965; sisters, Thelma Goodall, Marjorie Flynn, Edna Hustins, and brother, Arthur. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home,
Pictou. Funeral will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in
