John LeGrand b c1802 m Susanne Le Seelleur May 1829 in Jersey, Channel Islands.
I am decended from their son John born 1830 in St Lawrence Jersey married in Southampton to Matilda Clarke.
There is also a son Alfred William b c1845 in St Peter, Jersey who married two Dumaresq girls in Gaspé.
JAMES LeGRAND is another of their 10 known childern who I can only find in the 1841 Channel Island census as age 7 in St. Brelade, Jersey.

I have a note referring to a JAMES LeGRAND who came from Jersey to Cape Cove about 1856 and later moved on to Trois-Rivières and Batiscan. I also believe he married Ann Cass born Dec 26, 1830 in Cape Cove.

Does anyone on the list have any more information on this JAMES LeGRAND or perhaps suggest another direction to search so that I can verify that he is a relative.
