I have an Elizabeth Lenfesty born 1806 CI & died 1853 Gaspé. She married Thomas LeMesurier & lived in Indian Cove. Her father was supposed to have been Nicolas, but I have been unable to confirm this relationship. I wonder if anyone has any information about this Elizabeth's father? There were some other Lenfestys about the same age as Elizabeth in Gaspé (Hilary, Thomas & Abraham); perhaps they were her brothers? Thank you.

Thomas Ahier of St-George Cove married Elisabeth Lenfestey d/o Nicholas Lenfestey [LaFete] Sept. 15, 1826. Philippe Ahier of Indian Cove [Anse-a-Savage] married Marie d/o Pierre LeMesurier of St-George Cove on the following day, also by a travelling Anglican missionary from Lévis. Ahier men in St-George Cove we can expect to be native to Jersey, though the vicinity had had more of a Guernsey based population.

Thank you, but my Elizabeth Lenfesty was married to Thomas LeMesurier. This I know for certain as they are buried together in the Methodist cemetery in Indian Cove. I'm still interested to know more about her background (she was born in Guernsey), her father Nicolas & the others who might have been her brothers.

Arthur, I'm not disputing your statement about Elizabeth Lenfesty married to Thomas LeMesurier. There is the possibility Thomas LeMesurier was her second spouse, if she is the same woman who had earlier married Ahier.
