My great-greatgrandfather was Michel Steven, McGrath from Cork Ireland.... and came across to the Gaspe Pennisula and married Felicite Bridgette, Robert dit LeBreton,,,, just wondering if we are somehow related thank you . I have a lot of information on this family. Family feud is still going in this family...... Dolores D. McGrath....

Hi Dolores, .
My name is Mary Curley-Reed and I am also researching McGrath. My GGGrandfather was John McGrath from Youghal b abt 1841. He married Elizabeth Curtin. Their daughter Madeline McGrath married William A Brennan and they immigrated to Chicago. They were also from Cork. John McGrath was a master mariner and ship builder. I have never been able to find any info. Maybe you can help. It doesn't hurt to ask! Thank you.

this is a terribly old thread, but here goes...I'm a Mcgrath but I'm from the side of Michel Stephen McGrath's other wife, I believe, Mary Shuly...the modern mcgraths are still a familyinfighting bunch...any info on Michel's parentage would be appreciated.
