Laurent or Laurant or Laurand was born in 1865 or 66. There were 13 children of Romain and Sophie and he was one of them. Have a great day . Jo H

Ok Johanne,

je l'ai trouvé:

Laurent Duguay: n. Cap-d'Espoir 18 août 1864, b. 21 août 1864. Parrain: Moyse Oiselle, marraine: Rose Oiselle.

I suppose Laurent was mistaken for another brother of Abel. In the 1901 census, he is descibed as «C» for célibataire or bachelor.

Do you have the marriage certificate of this gentlemen presumed dead and showing up in 1901 in Cap-D'Espoir?

JP

Laurent was born in 1865 or 1866. On the 1901 census he is 35 years of age. Lee Payne sent to me a copy of the marriage certificate between Delia Marie Lea Cousineau and Laurent Duguay son of Sophie Loiselle and Romain Duguay.
I will have to look it up and send a copy to you. I will send it via your email address.

Abel also had a son Laurent born Jan 9, 1900.
The Laurent of which you speak is unknown to me. Jh

Thanks for any help you have provided

It appears my Duguay family tree might cross with yours. My grandfather, Antoine Duguay was born in 1901 in Pabos and was the son of William and Emma Beaudin. Do you have any information I could use to verify the Duguay Family tree I have compiled. There is a discrepancy as to who William's parents were. They were either Jean Duguay (1816) and Marie Anne Dubois (1823) married in Perce on May 27, 1851 or Pierre-Williams Duguay (1819) married to Sophie Mauger on May 16, 1841 in Paspebiac. If I do not solve this issue than I can not go any further.
