HI Wendy,
I wrote to your email address several days ago and have received no reply.
I will soon be sending all of my Morrill family research to the Richmond Historical Society in Quebec.

Hi Micki,

I also would be very interested in the Morrill family history if you see any connection to the couple in the marriage record transcribed below. I do not have any information on this couple after their wedding. Also, do you know if the Daniel S. Morrill who married Margaret Cook in Shipton in 1843 is the same. He signed his name as opposed to Daniel Smith Morrill who had to make his mark. I also have the 1860 baptism record of their children with the oldest being born prior to their marriage.

Lewis Wright was my 3GGrandfather and his daughter, Rosannah Wright married Daniel Smith Morrill. I am descended from his son Samuel Wright and his first marriage.

Marriage Record:
1835, Shipton, Sherbrooke, Quebec
Daniel Smith Morrill, of the township of Tingwick, Farmer, and Rosannah Wright of the township of Wotton, Spinster and minor were married at Wotton after due publications of banns on the fourteenth day of December Eighteen hundred and Thirty Five. by A.J. Parker, Min., Congregational Church
Daniel Smith Morrill (his mark)
Rosannah Wright (signature)
Witnesses:
Lewis Wright (signature) [her father]
William Sloan (signature) [her brother-in-law]

Lewis Wright donated his land to William Sloan in exchange for his and his wife's (Sarah Jameson Wright) care for their lifetime. However around 1837 he left the area of Wotton and died in 1840 in Newcomerstown, Ohio.

I am trying to obtain information on a Norton Morrill or "Uncle Norton" as he was known by my mother and grandmother. My grandmother left Danville Quebec to housekeep for him in Vancouver. She was Audrey Hastings-Everd born Audrey Boreham to Charles Boreham and Ida May Andrews.
