Re: Browne, Brown, Wilson, Massey, Towne, Reed
Thank you for these documents. I left Richmond in 1961 and was not able to return until 1984. My grandfather Harry Leslie Brown passed away in 1970, so, I don't remember him. My grandmother Eleanor Anne Massey was one of my inspirations when raising my daughter. With that, I am indebted to you for this information. I will be phoning my mother, Kathleen Iris Brown shortly and sharing this info with her. She and I have taken on the responsibility of family history. Thanks again. Dennis

Re: Browne, Brown, Wilson, Massey, Towne, Reed
Thank you for that document. I just got off the phone with my mother. She told me of the pains she went through to have her name changed. I laughed, it was as if she were re-living the event. She told me that the original homestead was owned by Andrew Brown then to his son James Brown and then the grandson James Brown. At that point the property was sold to a Gunter, then to Melvin Brock and is now in the hands of Terrance Coddington. Perhaps this info is useful.

Re: Browne, Brown, Wilson, Massey, Towne, Reed
yes that is useful as I know the Brock family that owned the property personally and know of the Coddington family now. This farm is not very far from my family farm...now in the hands of a new owner.
