Busheys from "French Canada"

My dad's side of the family came from Westbroom, Canada and settled in Vermont. I hit a dead end for the gggrandparents Oliver Bushey and Margaret Lake after not getting any existing tree information, anything from the census or birth records. Anyone have a line from that area?

It would be a good idea to include some dates for them, if you have any. Westbroom might be West Brome, I think. And your Bushey might be Boucher. I can find two Oliver Busheys in the census records - one in Compton and one in Dunham. The one in Compton was born 1840 and the one in Dunham 1829. I might be more interested in the Dunham one, if I were you - that is more in the area of Brome.

For the Oliver Bushey b. 1829 (living in Dunham in 1881) - his son Joseph Bushey (age 10 in 1881) married my grandmother's sister Henrietta Curry. Joseph Bushey moved to Washington state - he died in 1941.
