I've probably got nothing for you, but I thought I'd take a chance. I've just begun researching Hamilton/Morrow from Compton Co. My grandmother was Esther Hamilton, b.1887 in this area. I haven't come up with any relatives yet. She married David Morrow, b.1876, and they settled in Bury. As I progress, I'll let you know if I find anything of interest to you.

Garth,
Thank you for your speedy reply and the info. Although I can't make a connection presently with this info. it may be helpful down the road. I had no idea that the names Hamilton and Morrow were as common as Smith and Jones!

Again, many thanks,
Sheryl

Donald Morrow of Bury is not in my database, however there are 37 Morrow in the database.

I have one tree starting with James Morrow and Hanna Kirkpatrick of Mille Isle and this family ended up in Carlisle Saskatchewan in the early 1900s.

The family Morrow is connected to Morrisson and Parker both of which are connected to Hamilton and Hammond. Morrisson, Parker, Hamilton, Hammond, were originally Gore, Argentuil Families who immigrated to Eastern Townships around 1865 and later many went to Manitoba and Saskatchewan in early 1900's.

Mr./Ms. Barter,
Probably! The way I understand it, Morrows are all over the place, and we are usually related! I have a first cousin named Donald Morrow who lives in the Littleton, NH area. In this family, people are often given the first names of ancestors, so I would not be surprised if there was a common link. My father, Harlan Andrew Morrow, was born in Bury in 1908. He had a brother Almon (my cousin's father) and a sister Marion.
Their father was David(b. in Canada),grandfather was Henry(b. in N. Ireland), and great-grandfather was William(b. about 1791 in Ireland). I hope this is a help. If you'd like more Morrow info.,e-mail me and I'll try to connect you with someone who has been researching.
